Price Per MGO Calculator
Jar prices lie. A 500g jar of UMF 10 is not twice the value of a 250g jar of UMF 20. The only fair comparison is the price of the active compound. Edit the table to add your own contenders. Cheapest per gram of methylglyoxal wins.

How it is calculated
MGO is methylglyoxal in milligrams per kilogram of honey. A jar contains (MGO × jarSize) / 1,000,000 grams of methylglyoxal. Divide the jar price by that and you have the cost per gram of MGO. Lower is better value, holding taste and purity equal.
One caveat: MGO is not the only marker. UMF tests four compounds. Two jars at the same MGO can differ in leptosperin, DHA, and HMF, which is why UMF certification still matters. This calculator is the right starting point, not the only input.
